Hector.
Never ending source of inspiration and a force of nature, Hector is the star of the show and I am compelled to capture his life in images. I take the photos to compose the subject and sketch a simplified, graphic version as a template for a woodcut matrix or etching plate. I play with colour to reflect Hector’s character and his form. In the literal and metaphoric sense of the word, he’s anything but a beige cat.
